Our preliminary research leads us to believe that Mambo should not be affected by the new Google Web Accelerator.

This is because currently Mambo's headers are set in such a way that pages are
never cached not even on the browser.

We'll keep the community informed if our research brings up anything to the contrary or if we have more information on the subject.

I have noticed increased attempts to read pages in my administrator folder - one was identified as GOOGLE and spent a few minutes trying to access these pages and then revisited a couple hours later, this time spending 50 minutes trying to access these folders.

I have password protected my administration folder's index.php through .htaccess.

I've checked and google is not indexing these pages...How are these users finding them?

(I've denied a couple other IP's that only try to visit these pages when they visit as well.)

Any advice?

Are we to implement the .htaccess rules shown in the link in the original post to keep Mambo secure?

Thanks,
Len
