Friends, I'm a Mambo lover. Now i'm creating a new template. Look to my site (www.dop.nu) : I have the following questions:

1) What can i do to get the attention of the "Site of the month"? (I think that my site have a change to win the contest.

2) I 'm changing the functionality of the Mambo media manager: you can see that on every menu option on my site, you see other pictures. I upload the pictures with the media manager and their i can make a relation with the menu (or submenu). QUESTION 2: Are their people who want to make this software better (integration of template and mediamanager).

3) Now i'm busy for 3 customers who are working with my templates and mambo (www.yoeke.nl, www.midlife-paradise.nl and www.tringo.nl. Is their a clever solution that on only one ftp server is the php code and every customer has another mySql database (config.php).

Is there any reason why dop.nu, yoeke.nl and tringo.nl share the same template?

I'd love to give an opinion on your sites, but can't see them - they are listed as 'Pornography' by the perhaps overzealous filter that I sit behind...

Now that's a weird word-filter. FYI, they were listed as adult sites of a sexually explicit nature. But it stars out the word for that.

Nice clean look to the site..

How did you get the changing graphics for the different pages??

If you or anyone could point me in the right direction it would be great to learn.

In our offering http://www.dop.nu/website_dop/index.... mp;Itemid=37 we inform all our cutomers of the mambo solution. Installation of the mambo software is not the problem we need at least 40 our too design a nice logo, colours, visit-cards, we need 8 our to teach customers to make content, give a whole year for free a virtual linux server and all our customers can call us when they have problems. You can'd do that for free. We earn out money with implemenation and suppport.

1. I personally think it is arrogant to nominate one's own site for 'site of the month'. If it is that good...it will not go un-noticed.

2. Your site does not fit on my screen so I must use the H-scrollbar to see that there is actually nothing there to see.

3. 5000 € is more than $6,000 USD...with webspace available at less than $100 per year, Mambo installation available for $0 - $199, custom templates/logos available for $100 - $500 and considering the ease of use of Mambo (translate - will not require much support), you still end up charging at least $500usd per hour for the 8 hours of training. Nobody is that good. Lucky for you there are still plenty of folks around that don't know a scam when they see one.

I don't know you and I have nothing against you personally. This is not a flame. You asked our opinions...this is mine.

Dear Mark,

Your suggestion that we work only 8 ours is not correct. Now i.m working for the Dutch government. They are interested in Mambo possibitlies. Only of the "Pole" functionality i have to talk 8 ours with them. So the technik is not the problem but the embedding of the concept in the organization of our customers.

When i only have to deliver a empty mambo i do that for 250 euro including a virtual server for one year. But serious customers need more time.

Our our prices are 35 euro and that is really cheap.

I think the last column in your template is useless, it makes your website too wide, all the more as there's nothing inside it.

Nice colour scheme.

I like these kind of uncluttered designs (what I would call 'low intensity').
There are some nice sites out there tbut there way too busy and confusing, with too much happening causing a bit of sensory overload.

Nice work Hooijer

Actually I don't mind it, maybe the column is a tad too wide, but I think it adds to the overall colour scheme.

What i think is the problem is that your site is fixed width.
In 800 x 600 the horizontal scrollbar appears.
People tend to get annoyed when they have to scroll horizontally and more so if there is no reason for them to scroll.
Maybe you can make your template variable width.

Apart from that, I think its a pretty nice template.

i have to agree with stingrey about the third column. kind of wasted. taking it off will probably render the page nicely on 800x600.
