Hello,
I am a heavy user of EZ Publish 2.2.x series. I have started dabbling with Mambo and one issue I cannot solve is the listing of articles. Take a look at one of the sites I maintain using EZ Publish at http://www.prolife.org.ph You can see that the front page functions almost the same as the Mambo default. But look at the magazine issues inside: http://www.prolife.org.ph/article/archive/75/ http://www.prolife.org.ph/article/archive/74/ I just need Mambo to have a page that lists down all the articles in a category that has a "read more" on each article. Using Mambo, I am stuck to doing something like this: http://www.mmcci.org/mambo/index.php...d=1&Itemid= 2 This is not the news listing my customers would like to see. My market is familiar with the type of news listing such as: NEWS Article 1 Introduction text goes here. Blah, blah, blah. read more >> Article 2 Introduction text goes here. Blah, blah, blah. read more >> Article 3 Introduction text goes here. Blah, blah, blah. read more >> I am pretty sure, there is a way to do this easily. I just do not know how. Please help so I can make the switch to Mambo. A link or a clue is fine. |

Check out the blogsection and blogcategory features. They are pretty much exactly what you are looking for, as far as I can tell.

Hi gentleman,
I think I remember some of your work from the showcase at ez.no, and its nice to see you around here too . The Mambocommunity is much more active than the ez, and help is often only minutes away ! I´ve used ez 2.2.x series alot, and still are, but Mambo give some ekstra valuable tools thats hard to integrate in ezpublish. Soon I´ll be converting a ezpublish site to Mambo, and will follow this thread in case a good hint shows up Theres some differences of sections/categorys of the two CMS´, but with the newly released 4.5.1 I guess its possible to do what you ask for. Btw. Dont give up on the 2.2.x series yet ! (A reorganized version 2.3 will soon show up at http://ezcommunity.net, where you at this very moment have the possibility to state what you think need to be in the new ez 2.3 !!!!) Best luck in your Mamboíng ot2sen |
