Default What if zOOm is giving me a hard time creating galleries?

Hi y'all

I just tried to add zOOm to my site as an add component.
I donwloaded "zOOm Media Gallery 2.5.1 RC4 Week 08" and i managed to install that like it should.

Now my problem is that i can't create galleries.
If i go to "Gallery Manager" which i think is the place to create the galleries, there is no save-button.

I looked for an older version (thinking there might be some small bug in this one) but couldnt find that either.

Can anybody help me?

Bless,

David

The only version of zOOm that I've been able to use in any of my Mambo installs is 2.1.4 RC3. Every attempt to use the newer versions have been met with site crashes or missing features (i.e. can't save a new gallery). You can download the 2.1.4 RC3 version at the following location.

If for whatever reason you are unable to access this location, please reply to this post and I'll put it on my server with a link.

gave up with htis in the end....devlopment on zoom seems to have stopped and later versions are joomla only

I went with Pony Gallery ML v2.4 seems to work for me and do what I want
(although had to fix a HTML validation error in one of the files which was messing up with my mambo theme)

When zOOm hit the Mambo world it was the most complete gallery program I had ever worked. It was (is) loaded with features far beyond most commercial applications and being wrapped around Mambo was a real treat. For reasons past my understanding this project was dropped and dropped fast by the developers and has never been picked up by anyone else. All of the other gallery programs I have either tried or currently use is judged against zOOm and few meet it's standard. Yet, without future zOOm development or support, it is an all but dead application...what a shame!

As an FYI:
I am unable to get any version of zOOm to completely work with Joomla 1.0.12.
