Gallery 1.4.40pl4 and Mambo 4.5 Stable-1.0.9

Okay I am using an older version of Mambo and Gallery, and they seem to work fine - but I've got an intriguing issue which requires your help!

The standalone version of gallery works fine.

The Mambo configuration works fine.

Embedding the Gallery into Mambo -- "worked" fine, until recently, when I noticed that the gallery although embedded had an issue when you clicked on the thumbnail - to view the image. This did not work!!

To re-iterate the thumbnail clicking works fine, and the image loads, but I can't seem to get it working in Mambo. To add to the complications I've got the sef-advance in operation. Regardless whether this is on (active) or off (inactive), the thumbnail image links fail to function within Mambo.

If you click on an image say "DSC00014" this should display by loading:

but the following is displayed:
Error: Requested index [0] out of bounds [112]
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/www/brigatti/gallery2/classes/Album.php on line 1258
gallery2 is the actual location of the standalone gallery.

Any thoughts? I've googled this, but haven't identified a fix!!! HELP!!! Thank you.
