Phil Taylor Leaves Mambo Core Development Team Dear Supporters...

Well all good things have to come to an end... I write this small announcement to let everyone know that I have just submitted my written resignation from the Mambo core development team.

I know this decision will come to a shock to some, an excitement to others, and indifference to the majority but the decision that has been taken has been thought over for a long period of time and was probably slightly overdue.

I have been involved with Mambo for a little over two years. The core Mambo team, both past and present members have really become good friends and some have even stood by me in many challenging moments of my life over this time. To them I owe everything! They are the people that made working as part of the team a great experience, Robert, Andrew, Emir in the early days taught me all the PHP Programming I know - Its to these guys that I owe so much.

I also thank Arthur (Although we never always agreed - he did always stand by me) and the great mambo community for buying my commercial products and for supporting my business. Now that I have more time to concentrate on commercial development you can be assured that levels of support, development and new innovative products will increase in the next few months.

To stop the rumors:
  • I will continue to focus l my energy into Contracting for exising and new Mambo commercial contract customers.
  • I will be also contracted out to a UK Gov. Agency for days per month
  • I will continue to create, and sell Commercial Specilised Mambo Components
  • I wish the Mambo Core Team much success in the future
  • I will continue to support existing components and develop new ones
  • I will still visit and contribute knowledge and help on the Mambo forums
  • I will still do my best to support Andrew and his great team in all they do
  • I will NOT be able to have write access to Mambo CVS any longer
  • I will NOT take part in discussions on the direction of Mambo
  • I have enjoyed my time on the core team greatly and I hope by moving on that I will no longer hold Mambo back.
  • I hope all the personal attacks, abusive emails and discouragement will now stop
  • I hope those that question my personal Faith in God will also be silenced.
Wishing all mambers the very best for 2005 and for the future of Mambo !

Phil
