Default Upload failed [4.5.1 hosted]

Hi there...

OK, I'm one of those that usually spends alot of time searchin' before postin'... But now I just make a dumb post; I just moved my Mambo site from a site I hosted myself to a web hotel (unoeuro.com). Most things work, but I cannot install anything (components, modules, templates, ...).

I'm sure there is an easy answer to this, so sorry for asking. But I'm not in the mood for digging anymore. (Mambo is great, but where is the consistency beween the different versions and the documentation?).

My host has safemode ON and doesn't allow /tmp write (they say it should work anyway).

This is what I get, after pointing out a zip-file and hitting the "upload and install" button:

Upload module - Upload Failed
ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.
[ Continue ... ]
Upload module - Failed
Installation file not found:
/var/www/<me wee site>/public_html/media/install_4156017ec613d/
[ Continue ... ]

This is my config:

You're not alone! I've the same Problem!
We must probably wait on the Safemode patch for the v4.5.1

What is it that you are trying to install? Since mambo went to 4.5.1 the installer has changed and is a little mor picky about installing things that are not 4.5.1 compatable.

I will try to install whatever you are and see if it is the package or just the safe mode.

Thanks,

Brett Wilcox

I have noticed that- on a server running php 4.3.4, certain components/modules install correctly without a hitch, yet on another server with php 4.1.2, the exact same components (same version) fail. Dunno if it related to php compatibility, but thats what i've seen happen...

The errors were internal script errors though...

I have the same problem, only with certain components.
Example: I have install newsletter, Bibliography and others components and they worked OK.

But when I try to install Simpleboard or Multisite 451, appears the message
"Could not find up XML file in the package" and
installation file not found (...)media/install_418fdd327197d/

Look my PHP configurations (PHP 4.3.4)
