I would prefer this, this thread i getting very bloated. Lot's of interesting things have been talked about here, just adding new topics under the larger user interface and ergonomy part make this thread a real quest to read.

Maybe we should create a subforum under the 5.0 developer zone, called user interface and ergonomy ? Or try to place different user interface and ergonomy topics in different threads ?

What do you think ?

It's a pretty broad topic as you can see from the other posts. There is also a user accessibilty part for the physically impaired that should be addessed. I don't wish to cause waves, but have been caught up in this odd situation where I need to make Mambo do some things in 4.5.1 and 5.0 that have not been mentioned anywhere else. You could say that I'm in this odd position where I may be able to do some third-party things to solve some existing problems or meet some user wants in this area.

The recommendation for Tips of the Day above is one of them because I have a subcomponent already that could be rebuilt as a component.

Mr. Jinx... a better place might be to start separate threads in the public 3PD standards and guidelines area. Any standards or guidelines developed there should actually have a trickle up effect on core development.

Agreed, this would be the best place to place them indeed. So who's first ?
